french terry
All of our fabric is locally made, without exception. It is knitted, dyed & finished in Brampton, Ontario. The cotton yarns are imported from India by our knitter.
We wash and dry our fabric at high temperatures prior to cut & sew to ensure maximum shrinkage is removed. This means that your garments will not shrink in the dryer.
Our custom 100% cotton french terry is mid-weight at 340GSM with a matching rib that is 95% cotton and 5% Lycra. We picked a mid-weight terry so that we could adjust the overall heaviness of the garment through construction (double layering & use of rib), rather than through fabric type. This allows us to be more versatile, and to have one fabric that can used to make both summer and winter styles. French terry is also more breathable than fleece, which makes this fabric easier to wear during the hotter months.
All of our french terry is lightly brushed on the loop side for softness against your skin.
